November 2020 was a presidential election month, so we prepped for it by creating a month long game of bingo, The bingo game included various challenges related to fitness and voting participation to spread awareness, education, and inspire action. ”The vote is precious. We set out to help a group especially vulnerable to the effects of the pandemic: low income families with children in school. Nearly 80% of Los Angeles Unified School District students (the second largest school district in the richest country in the world) qualify for free or reduced-priced meals. While the pandemic is raging, the kids cannot access free meals at school. For this reason, 48 For Change ran 148 miles in the month of August 2020 (4.8 miles a day) to fundraise for the LAUSD Grab n Go Food Centers.
